The Company is pleased to report that it applied for and received approval for a “Commercial Farmer Certification” from the Department of Revenue of Louisiana that provides for relief from paying taxes on goods and services purchased in Louisiana in furtherance of its operations in our Napoleonville operations. The certificate is valid until February 28, 2027.   

“We are currently exploring the possibility of applying for tax credits retroactively with the State. said Marc Walther. CEO. Going forward, the savings generated, as we secure additional and upgraded equipment for our SGP+™ and Supreme AG™, will be substantial.” 

The exemptions include some of the following items: 

• The sales price, cost price, gross proceeds, monthly lease or rental price paid, or monthly lease or rental price contracted or agreed to be paid on qualifying machinery and equipment that is used as an integral part of the production, processing, and storing of food and fiber. The qualifying machinery and equipment must be purchased by a certified commercial farmer. 

• Feed and feed additives sold for agricultural or commercial purposes. Commercial purposes means purchasing, producing, or maintaining of animals, including breeding stock, for resale. [R.S. 47:305(A)(4)(a), 47:305(A)(4)(b)(i) & (iii)] 
• Diesel fuel, butane, propane, and other liquefied petroleum gases purchased for farm purposes such as a power source or as a heating fuel for equipment that is used directly in a commercial growing or livestock production operation. [R.S. 47:305.37]
